Wine Mount Difficulty is a boutique winery located in Bannockburn in Central Otago. The Bannockburn area is internationally recognized as one of the few places in the world where the petulant Pinot Noir variety has found a home outside Burgundy. Most of the vines were planted eight to nine years ago, with the oldest vines appoaching seventeen years - this is relatively old for Central Otago and is extremely valuable in adding extra complexity and concentration to the wine. This wine exhibits a lovely mix of red and black berry fruits with further complexity gained from oak spice. A sweet berry entry which displays these same characters in abundance, the tannins rise gracefully out of the mid-palate to produce a long fruit driven finish. £14.99
