Wine Domaine Py (pronounced 'Pea') is located on the southern slopes of the 'Montagne d'Alaric' between Carcassonne and Narbonne and has been owned and managed by the Py family for five generations. Wine This château is located in the village of Perissac, 14km north-west of Fronsac. It has 38 hectares of well-established vineyards, with vines aged 25 years on average. The wine is made using temperature controlled stainless steel vats, and there is no oak maturation. Made with a view to early drinking, the wine is generously fruity and ripe. The tannins and body are moderate, and faint leafy notes accent the blackcurrant backbone. Drink now or over the next couple of years with roast lamb or a selection of mature hard cheeses.
