Wine Winemaker Xavier Roger used grapes from a number of vineyards in order to obtain a pure expression of this infamous variety. Buttery, full-flavoured, with hints of blossom on the nose, this wine offers excellent value for money.
Wine Rosso Piceno DOC is part of the region of Marches, just north of Rome on the east coast of Italy. Wines from this region were already known in Roman times and Hannibal reportedly used it to rub down his cavalry horses on his march to Rome, to give them new vigour. A wine offering the elegance of Sangiovese combined with the charming ripe fruit of the Montepulciano. Smooth and rich on the palate with a long, balanced finish. Absolutely an all-rounder, this goes particularly well with rich pasta dishes.

The co-op rewards its members by analysing the grapes coming in and sharing out the proceeds in proportion to the quality delivered. A vibrant Pinot Grigio that offers much more character and class than some. Showing citrus fruit flavours and subtle floral aromas. Good acidity helps create a clean, refreshing wine. Made to be drunk within six months of purchasing this wine should be well chilled and is compatible with seafood salads and risottos.
Wine This wine comes from the Bio Bio Valley, one of the most southerly of Chile's wine producing regions. The soil and climate in this area are unique in Chile, and ideal for Gewürztraminer. This is a fresh, floral wine with an exotic nose of aromatic, lychee and marzipan fruit. The palate is long, citrussy and well balanced.
Wine An excellent Malbec made from grapes grown in the foothills of the Andes, one of the most favoured areas for cultivating grapes in Argentina. Ripe bramble and spicy blackberry notes on the nose are echoed on the richly textured palate, with hints of vanilla oak and balanced acidity on the finish.

Although mainly Moscatel, Viña Esmeralda is dominated by the fragrance and spice of the Gewürztraminer. Aromas of honeysuckle, ripe pear and custard apple intermingle with sweet vanilla spice. Fresh and lively on the palate with an aromatic richness that finishes with nuances of cinnamon and cloves. Sublime served with seafood, fish and especially paté, this is also a great apéritif.
Wine A classic Umbrian golden-white wine that is both smooth and substantial. This wine is produced in the heart of one of the most classic regions of Italy, Orvieto. Indigenous varieties have been carefully crafted together to produce a clean, crisp wine with plenty of citrussy fruit. Best drunk within the next 2 years.
Wine Copertino DOC is named after the town of Copertino, but also includes five other villages. These reds are made mostly from the dark skinned Negroamaro grape and this particular one is made from the fruit of 10-30 year old vines. Thick and luscious with dark, plummy fruits and hints of almonds and spice box. Well balanced and soft on the palate, this is an intriguing wine. Ideal with pizza and pasta dishes.
Wine This entry-level Chianti has spent extra time in bottle before release onto the market to gain Riserva classification and because of this is incomparable to the plethora of low-quality wines from the region at this price. The wine is full and sumptuous in style. Displaying ripe cherry, smoke and a touch of dark chocolate, this wine is fuller in body than a typical Chianti at this price. The finish is round and complex, with earthy, smoky notes. Superb by itself or with rich tomato pasta dishes or Bruschetta, the Villa Dante is a real all-rounder.
Wine This is a great quality wine with a real concentration of flavours. The nose is awash with lime, grapefruit and white peach, all underlined by a creamy nutty character. The palate is complex with a tightly knitted structure and succulent long length.
Wine An amazing value limited parcel from acclaimed Bordeaux winemaker Bernard Magrez. Something of a crossbreed between the traditional blends of Bordeaux and the Languedoc, this is a powerful black fruit and spice-driven red, with layers of leafy, herbaceous complexity. Part of the blend has been aged in French oak barrels for 6 months, giving a silky sheen to the muscular tannins, now complemented by a period of bottle maturation. Marvel at the unbelievably low price over a rich beef stew. As this wine has a few years of bottle age, please note that it will benefit from being decanted or poured carefully to avoid excess sediment.
